I’ve given some unsolicited advice to him but nothing since last summer. He has turned down multiple offers for help when offered, wanted to figure it out on his own. Happy to see him make improvement in his game. Not surprised you want to make an excuse for why someone has found more success than you though rather than credit them for their diligence at getting better.
