Whah!!! I dont get to put CBs at RB. DE, and LB anymore, whah! No more roster exploits, whaaaaa! The overides are contolled, whaahahaaaa!! Now the draft and early FA is much more important than trading all top picks to get 2 or 3 players to take full advantage of exploits. As stated before, he did not want to take on the challenge of adapting to the new game version, added to losing the LC game to the Titans. There were now 4 or 5 team owners in the league capable of winning it, even before the version change, which was not the case several seasons ago.

By looking at the Buc player stats for the reg season, you can see what the results were, combined with a very limited play selection and use, 4-5 plays on defense. One of the things I think is wrong with the game atm is that certain defensive plays do not get the overuse penalty, you can see what those are when you scout a team or by looking at the play logs of teams using fewer than 19 active plays. I did similar with the Cowboys, in order to compete on an even level with the Bucs, just not as much with the roster and overides.
I didn’t know that the “overuse penalty”was a thing until now

It seems easier to just have ur coaches generate a game plan 4 you than to manually figure out which defensive plays don’t cost you the overuse penalty

If you want to compete for the LC, you need to know that and not use coaches to generate your gameplan. Ask any of the managers whose teams won 10 games or more. You wont beat any of them if you dont know what to use and how to gameplan, no matter how good your roster is.

I’d imagine a good exploit prevention would be to only be able to get a game plan from coaches though
1. It would make scouting for plays without the overuse penalty useless
2. It would cause players to prioritize coaching hires and actually pay attention to coaches/coaching styles
3. Players would not have to go through the hassle that is game-planning

thought Smirt211 setup his coaches that way specifically so he could turn the “load coaches” plan into a glorified win button (ie automatically generate game plans favorable for his roster)

(Basically like how real NFL owners would delegate gameplanning to chaoxhes and roster construction to gms because that’s the most efficient way to organize a sports franchise)
