No problem,

This thread isnt designed for someone that just drops a team. The people on this list have repeatedly ruined teams in private custom leagues run by an active league admin.

I'm glad you spoke up and defended yourself....we have messaged all the owners on here (except you obviously) and never gotten a response. None of them have posted on this thread either.

A good example of this thread working is PC2256. He did alot of damage to several teams and never responded to any PMs asking him....what the **** man?

Finally after months....he reached out for help and is ashamed of the damage he did because he didnt understand contracts. He will have to work his way back into good standing.

You on the other hand were a mistake and it will be addressed. I know Raidergreg and I'm sure he will allow you to join USFL now that this has been cleared up.

I've had someone name me in a forum without messaging me first and I agree it sucks.

Sorry this happened to you.

Hopefully we can all move on and to show I have no bad will.....invite you to join one of my leagues.

CJ, I used you as an example in response to Lucky in the USFL thread. I sent Lucky a PM encouraging him to apply for Georgia. If he accepts, we'll help him out, that's what we do in USFL when needed.

Sorry I have not been able to respond to this thread sooner, have had a lot of unforeseen things happen in the last 3 weeks.

I have now PM'd Lucky (unfortunate name in this instance) and tried to explain that sometimes its not possible to FIND someone on here, otherwise I would have contacted before posting. Like I said I have had little to no time recently.

This thread will continue and people are free to defend themselves with or without losing their ****, but it does make you look foolish.

I'm with you, Gus. Lucky's temperament here shows he deserves more shame than a simple note about him quickly abandoning a team.

For what it's worth, Lucky is lying about DH. I don't think the league's ever been below 20 owners.

It’s not worth anything, my name is no longer on that list. It never should have been. I’m not lying if I don’t know the literal exact amount of owners missing, it was quite a lot.

Maybe I need lessons on how to react when falsely accused of something and publicly listed for it. I’m not sure how to be nice to you in that situation. Don’t call me a liar again. I thought we squashed this hours ago but reading both of your posts, Gus you are the only one looking foolish , should I post your crying email to me?? Begging me to stop calling you out?? Keep your fanboys out of my life.

Honesty mate you can do what you like. Right now I have much much bigger things going on in my life than worrying about MFN.
Publish it if you like, I apologised , you accepted, end of. That was in private.
The name calling was public , Sonos my response to that. You seem like a nice guy and I can understand how this has irritated you and the need to ‘ clear your name’.
It’s done, anyone who cares to read this thread can now see it. As I’ve said before in this thread , if you are on this list and don’t think you should be, respond and/or drop me a PM (the fastest way to contact me) as it happens I didn’t get a PM from you either.

This thread serves a purpose and will continue to help out owners .

1. The statement from Gus is entirely accurate, simple and restrained. I appreciate his efforts to have a dialogue here.

2. The response from Lucky is completely out of line: namecalling, profanity, exaggeration (Gus went out of his way to say the team wasn't destroyed, which Lucky distorts as "claiming I ruined it"), and lying (the ownership was about 25 at the time Lucky bailed on the league).

League commissioners have every right to blackball Lucky based on this response alone. The ongoing temper tantrum and misleading statements, in this thread and elsewhere, say everything we need to know about what kind of person Lucky really is.

Accurately accused. You were accurately accused of abandoning a team without explanation.

You could have offered an explanation, no hard feelings, and everybody moves on. Instead, you unleashed a tirade full of namecalling and profanity. There's a deeper lessen to be learned here.

Seems to me things could have been handled better all around, so I'm not willing to put it all on Lucky. IMO this name and shame list should only include players who are seemingly out to do harm and I don't think that was Lucky's intention in Gus's league.

Lucky obviously made some mistakes regarding salary cap and roster management, but he is new to the game. When I was new, I made a lot of similar mistakes. One of my first moves was to cut a fullback who had a bloated salary, which I did because I wasn't about to pay a FB that much money. I was unfamiliar with the player card and how the game worked, and half the league put in claims.

I'm glad it happened in a numbered league with little forum chatter, because nobody called me out. If someone had, I'd likely react similar to Lucky or I'd say nothing and leave MFN in embarrassment.

Now, just because I would have reacted in a similar manner doesn't make it right. Lucky was wrong to toss out expletives, but once called out on it, he stopped. So I think it's a little harsh to say Lucky should be blackballed for this. MFN is struggling to get new players and keep the ones we have, so I'm not willing to blackball someone for losing their temper. It's not like he's Duval, who kept cussing people out, etc after being asked to stop.

Maybe us veteran players can do a better job of helping new players learn the game instead of trying to find ways to blackball them. The league I took over, USFL/WFL, used to be very newbie friendly when Tribewriter was running it, and I'd like to continue that tradition.
