I dare say...

The History of the Denver Team in MFN-7 has been spotty. Never a Play Off Appearance. 1 Winning Season.

I took over during the Play Offs of 2021 (for some reason that means my Owner gets the 5-11 Record that I had no part of) and got to Draft my First Class for the 2022 Season. Which brought me Leona Arana. Who failed at TE (or who I failed, being unable to get a system that fed him the ball) and was moved to RB near the end of a long and educating 4-12 Season.

I took 2 Highly Rated 43 DTs and moved them to 34 DE, spent a 1st plus some on another Young Stud DT and though I had built a magical wall that would give my LBs free access to make plays. That failed.

I had a 92 Rated QB who threw 3 Times more INT than TD.

By the end of the Season I had moved a legit 98 Rated FS to MLB in an attempt to try to get something, anything, happening on Defense while moving my SS to ROLB in the hope that Speed would lead to Sacks. That failed.

It was a crushing Season.

Then came 2022. I traded the 92 QB for a 1st Round Pick. I traded the DT I had just got for a little less than I gave for him. The Tie Breakers put me at Pick 5, and I watched my Top 2 Choices be taken 3rd and 4th, leaving me with Samuel Shepard.

So I got crazy. I traded... a LOT... for those 3rd and 4th Selections to land Phillip Bolden whom I moved to RDE and who leads MFN-7 with 30 Sacks as a Rookie, and Joshua Velsaquez who has racked up 18 Sacks as an SLB (after a very slow start). I moved those DTs back to DT and they've been clogging the middle and adding some extra pressure.

Kenneth Fletcher and Edward Powell moved from the LB Spots back to their natural S spots. (I had even moved Powell to RDE in the hopes his Speed/Pass Rush would generate Sacks). Preston Michaud moved from Rotational LB back to DE, where he started the Season. RDE Michael Evans, left on the Free Agent Market after all the good players were taken, has stepped in as a Speed Rush DE and has 9 Sacks as well and finally took over the Starting Job from Preston Michaud.

Many moves have been made. I threw a Rookie QB with 98 Speed on the field, and amazingly enough he performed as a Max 58 QB (which he's yet to reach) equally as well as the 92 Rated Benny Worrell that I Traded away. But then I inserted 67 Rated James Garret and he's responded with 9 TD to 3 INT and an improved Win Rate.

Just two weeks ago I battled an injury riddled 11-1 San Diego, who dominates my Conference, to a 1 Score Loss. I am projecting a Finish of 8-8, which will be the 2nd Best in Denver History, and if I get some 'lucky math' that can give me a Wild Card and Denver's First Play Off Appearance. If I'm really luck, San Diego will fall to injuries and I can squeak an amazing Win out and be more certain of the Play Offs at 9-7.

Of course, it could all come crashing down as either or both of Baltimore and Houston defeat me and we finish 6-10. But even at 6-10 it would be a marked improvement of the last 2 Seasons and would rank T-3rd for Best Denver All-Time.

I thought it would be another 4 Win Year, and we'd start to climb in 2025 when this Young Defense matured... but it seems we may be slightly ahead of schedule.

MFN-7 is given notice... Denver has arrived, and we are here to stay.

:D

Not yet, Grasshopper. :-) But you're on to something. Stay with it.

Well, the chance is real.

Looks like I need Pittsburgh and Jacksonville to Lose, and I catch a Wild Card IF I Win.

Jacksonville gets Indy, Indy is the Divisional Champion over Jacksonville.
And Pittsburgh gets Buffalo, who is in the lead for the Wild Card at 8-7.

And I get Houston, who finds themselves in the AFCS Basement.

So we have 3 Teams fighting for the 2nd Wild Card Spot all trying to climb to 8-8, and Buffalo who is 8-7 looking to clinch with no possible tie-breakers by going 9-7.

It's an exciting time, heading into Week 17 with so much on the line for so many Teams.

What are playoffs - we like to rest our team for the next season. I think losing my offensive coordinator really hurt this team this year.

Denver, if you win I believe your in no matter what. If I beat Buffalo, I should have the tie breaker over them. If Jacksonville beats Indy, not sure who the tie breaker will go to, them or us. Basing off head to head then conf. record. Guess Jacks would have the better conf. record.

If it makes you feel any better lellow, I'll be without my #1 RB and #2 WR.

I made it! Denver's First Ever Play Off Appearance! In my 2nd Full Season as an Owner, in the middle of a tear down and rebuild with a rag-tag Offense and a very young Defense!

I am blown away by what this Team was able to accomplish!
