Today, Kosmic has agreed to terms to take over the rebuild of the Carolina Panthers. In his first public interview he said, "It's geat to be here in Carolina!! All Hail the Panther Nation!!!" When the clapping, and whooping noises, died down, Kos started up again. " I know it's going to be a great deal of work. It will require long hours with my new staff, game planning, roster adjustments, draft preparation, and many sleepless nights. It all will be all well worthwhile when the team starts winning and they earn their first playoff spot. Am I saying it will happen this season? I'm hoping so, but let's be realistic, the team just had a very, very bad season and needs a lot of TLC. I'm thinking next year for sure as long as the dice roll in our favor. I'm looking forward to the challenge! I'm so happy to be here in Carolina! Cleveland and Los Angeles really wanted me, but I turned them down to come here!!! So, let's have a great season, keep the faith, and this team will make a great deal of positive noise in this league this year!! Let us all Hail in the new Carolina Panther Nation!!! "
Just then, Kos began to sing "Carolina on my Mind" by James Taylor. The auditorium erupted with clapping and people began to join in with the singing.
"Oh, one last thing, we have the #1 or 2 pick this year! I know there are some fantastic players that can he had with either of those picks, right? Well, building a team is a marathon and not a sprint. Oh, we can get the best player with our first pick, but thinking long term, to have success for many years, I think I'm going to trade the pick for multiple picks and a solid starter."
The Carolina sports fans, knowing they've only made the playoffs, wild card each time, 3 times in 20 years. They liked the sound of this plan because Kos actually had a plan set before he even agreed to terms with the owners.
All Hail the Carolina Panthers!!!!
