You can search for coaches under the players/coaches tab. A drop down should show up where you choose what you want to search. After clicking that you can further specify what you are looking for. The game is free though. No worries there. Check the community threads for various information or feel free to ask if you are having trouble finding things.

You will get an additional 5 credits on the next day if you spend those 5 so yes the game is free. You can use them to renew the season or join another league and yo will get another 5 credits. Really the only thing you need to spend money on is the cosmetics of being able to name drafted players or things in custom leagues, there is no advantage at all for those who spend money on the game. Its all cosmetic
