Will our players get cut if we sign players to contract extensions but we have 53 men on our roster right now?

What if my salary cap for this season goes over the cap? When do we start to begin the salary cap for next season along with the season after that? Right now, we can see the salary cap for this season and next season. I’m reading back what I originally asked and now realized that geez. This is what I meant to ask concerning if the salary cap goes over the cap and if we start getting messages of getting back under it before they start cutting players with the highest base salaries.

Let me rephrase my question. If we sign our players to extensions and if our salary cap goes over the cap, then will our players get cut even if we have 53 players and we are not under the cap? Also, will we see a message saying that if we don’t get under the cap, then players with the highest based salaries will be released.
