2-8-KCY 15 (14:16) 12-Michael Roman pass INTERCEPTED by 28-Manuel Kidd at KCY -7. 28-Manuel Kidd for -1 yards. Tackle by 84-Eric Sturgis. Touchback. SDO 61-Curtis Hutchison was injured on the play. PENALTY - Holding (KCY 45-Aaron Day) (Declined)
If the penalty was called on KC, why would SD decline?

I see what you mean. Good question.

Did that work?
Worked perfectly, thank you.
I think it might be an issue with the game logic. Normally, the flags for holding are thrown much earlier (i.e., the "Penalty" indication in the Game View comes up early). In this case, the interception (change of possession) technically happens before the penalty (Interception came up a split second before Penalty), which may have caused the penalty-handling logic to fire wrong or get confused.
Thoughts, JDB?

Ah. When you watch in very slow motion, you clearly see the interception happen before the penalty is called.
I have no idea where the ball would have been spotted if the penalty had been accepted.

I agree and believe the ball should have been spotted on the 10

I'll have to look and see why it wasn't accepted - the "penalty" indicator appears the instant the penalty is committed, so it did happen after the INT in the nanosecond before the end of the play (which really shouldn't have happened anyway)
