You can do that in the new UI, in fact both the base + bonus and total bonus fields are directly editable, and the sliders should update when you change them.

I cannot get what we currently have in the New UI to work in the manner we are accustomed to for contracts in the Old UI (which includes the "Manual Override" function and the "Total Bonus:" box below it).

I'm sure the MFN community is growing tired of my frequent posts on this subject but it is a critical piece of the New UI and the ongoing success of the platform.

I am calling on others in the MFN community to do what I have been doing which is to test extending contracts using the tools from the New UI and post back to this string with your results. Many thanks in advance.

Just a question here, not sure if it was asked already. You have a bunch of plays to choose from, but I feel we are limited to around 15 or so that are reliable, even with an elite QB. So many have go routes, post corners, or others interesting routes that the QB never seem to use even if the WR is wide open. I guess I am asking if this update will open up a lot more plays that never work, and make them workable.

I see where the mistake was - I'll be pushing an update this morning that (I hope) fully restores the previous logic.

Once I'm able to switch so that the new UI is primary I'm going to get back to working on the game engine logic.

I have some signing to do, and my PhD in mathematics is proving useless in understanding what is happening in the current iteration of the page. Please let us know when you have pushed this update so we can check it out.

Can you try it again? I looked at some more use cases and there were some weird rounding errors I hope your comment is addressing.



If it's still acting weird, give me some details (you can do it via PM if you wish) so I can create a test case in my testing suite and reproduce it.

It is not working as intended. The boxes/sliders you have, and the way that they are tied together with formulas is completely different from the old UI, which worked great. You need a slider for the bonus percentage (and not the bonus amount), and then a separate box for the total bonus, which does not change the first year base when you change it manually. Then it should work like the old UI again.

The slider does adjust the bonus percentage - the slider is a range from 0 to 75 (the percentage is updated above the bonus field - the bonus amount just follows the percentage, whereas the previous UI didn't)



Also if you manually update the bonus amount (instead of using the slider) it should keep the first year base where it was.



- If you use the slider, it updates the bonus percentage and the first year + base doesn't change (so the first year base does adjust for the bonus).

- If you manually enter the bonus amount, it should adjust the first year + base so that the first year base doesn't change.



This should be the same as the old UI behavior. Perhaps the confusion is coming from the fact that the text field for the bonus amount is actually updating as you move the slider?
