I don’t think intelligence has a direct correlation on play but it does moderate positional experience and play familiarity which drives a bunch. Off the top of my head defenders will fill running holes quicker and or the decisions to make a play on a pass rather than knock it down are some on defense. On offense stuff like the receivers will do better after the catch by extending routes one way or another and RBs hit the hole quicker... I liken smart ones to have some sort of RB vision. There probably a bunch more but specific questions touching on that specific area got answers in the past. I have qb intelligence mattering most then DBs/wrs then RBs/ LBs but still say minimums are low at best as positioning is key then the other ratings seem to matter.
I've seen it mentioned that high intelligence receivers will have better awareness of where the first down line is so are more likely to stretch for it.
