I join this team bt can not sign anyone and only have 53 players. HELP!!!!!!

Go to your team page, change the drop down menu to player contracts, and start trying to trade your best players that have the highest contracts that go against your cap space. I would suggest getting draft picks for the 2028 season so that you don't have to worry as much about dead cap space when you draft them. You also want to trade your 1st through 4th round draft picks for the current season. Probably even the next season since you'll most likely have a lot of dead cap space that season too.

After trading away those expensive players, your next two seasons will have a significant amount of dead cap space. Keep in mind, if you don't get under the cap, your coaches will cut the most expensive players before your first game (I can't remember if it's the first pre-season game or the first regular season game).

By trading them away, you can get something out of them. Whether you trade them or not, your dead cap will still be effected. There's no getting around that.
