How does injuries affect the game? Do you need to manually remove or lower the player on the depth chart?

Depends on the severity.

Probable players should play ..

Out, Doubtful .. shouldn't play.

Questionables I'll play if needed in a backup role (I switch the depth chart to reflect that)

I try to limit my roster to 50-51 players that way I have extra slots in case I need to dip into the FA pool.

Thanks. I figured out how to make a player inactive. I'm guessing that you have to manually drop the player in the depth chart of make them inactive. Is that correct?

There a formula that simulates the area of the body injured. Its about a 15 % reduction of rating per fully injured area. Playing while injured increases the chance of another. This is probably one of the most important part of the game, who you decide to play , besides gameplanning of course.

You do not have to do anything, but that strategy could hurt come late season. A heavily used player that is subbed for every injury might miss 30 to 40 percent of his games. If you play him with minor injuries you will be better off missing mabye 10-15% of snaps . Especially if he's a grade A player in a big game. I rarely sit stars or old guys...if I am paying you you better play!

Injuries are moderated by conditioning and fatigue. Also, more injuries means earlier retirement( I might need a citation on that but something to that effect)

Good Luck! The only time a player won't play with an injury is when his status is "out". Or if you inactive them. The injury time is really about half as what it says....IMO...most of the time...sometimes I feel guys heal twice as slow as others and that's random or maybe age/injury related (another citation is needed)

Is the depth chart if you click the minus button they will become inactive and grayed out. You can leave them in your depth chart so you don't have to remember where they were once they become healthy again, if he is inactive he will not play in the game or count againts your active roster limit.
