Scouting yourself?

Just realized that if you have the 1st seed bye week in the playoffs, and you go to the scout offense and defense sections in gameplanning, you can actually scout yourself. I know that each play you scout, your offense or defense slightly increases in knowledge and skill for those selected plays. My question here is does it also slightly increase knowledge and skills for selected plays when you are scouting yourself during the wildcard bye week?

To my knowledge, it makes very little difference - like a drop in the ocean difference.

That said, and not too far off topic, I've been bullying JDB to have some sort of display of the effectiveness of the use of RULES that you use in a game.

Scouting yourself (once - twice a season) will lead to minuscule results. Knowing how many times your rules kick in on a gameplan is absolutely GOLD imo.
